Nervous System

The Nervous System is the master system of the body. It controls the activity of all other systems. The nervous system is divided into two parts: the Central Nervous System which includes the brain and spinal cord, and the Peripheral Nervous System which is primarily made up of the nerves. The brain controls all body functions; the spinal cord transmits neural signals between the brain and the rest of the body; and the nerves carry signals from the nervous system to the body and from the body to the nervous system. The eye, which is the organ of sight, is also part of the central nervous system.
